Tinplate, also known as tinned iron, is commonly known as electroplated tin sheet steel, the English abbreviation is SPTE. It refers to a cold rolled, low carbon steel sheet or strip coated with commercial pure tin on both sides.
The main function of this coating is to prevent corrosion and rust, which combines the strength and formability of steel with the corrosion resistance, solder and beautiful appearance of tin. It has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, non-toxic, high strength and good ductility. And because the surface is plated with a layer of tin, it is not easy to rust.
