P265NB Gas Cylinder Steel Sheets & Coils

With a guaranteed minimum yield strength of 265 MPa, P265NB Gas Cylinder Steel provides a significant mechanical advantage over standard grades like P245NB.
This enhanced strength enables manufacturers to achieve two key design optimizations: firstly, to reduce wall thickness and overall weight of gas cylinders for improved portability and transportation efficiency; secondly, to design cylinders capable of safely containing higher pressures, such as those required for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) or specific industrial gas mixtures.
Despite its higher strength, P265NB retains the exceptional deep drawability necessary for forming complex dome and shoulder geometries, and its excellent weldability ensures the integrity of longitudinal and circumferential seams.
