Forged Steel Round Bar

Forged Steel Round Bar is a material that uses a forging machine to press the billet to obtain the desired shape, size and properties. The forging process can eliminate the as-cast loose and welded holes of the metal, and the mechanical properties of the forging are generally better than those of the same material.

Product Introduction

Forged Steel Bar is a material that uses a forging machine to press the billet to obtain the desired shape, size and properties. The forging process can eliminate the as-cast loose and welded holes of the metal, and the mechanical properties of the forging are generally better than those of the same material.

IBC Group has an efficient feedstock selection and supply chain management strategy that ensures the quality of its steel feedstock purchases while remaining cost effective.

Product Process Of Forged Round Bar

During the forging process, the toughness of the steel bar is enhanced, and it can maintain good mechanical properties even in extreme environments. Moreover, the forged steel bars have undergone multiple forging and heat treatment processes, significantly enhancing their strength and enabling them to withstand greater loads.

Heating

Put the steel into the heating furnace and heat it to the appropriate temperature. This step is critical because the right temperature helps the plastic deformation of the steel and reduces stress during forging.

Forging

When the steel reaches the appropriate temperature, the forging equipment (such as forging hammer, forging machine, etc.) is used to forge the steel. In this process, the steel is subjected to compressive forces, which changes its shape and internal structure. Forging can be either manual or mechanized, depending on the scale of production and process requirements.

Cooling and heat treatment

After forging, the steel rod needs to be cooled. The speed and method of cooling will affect the final performance of the steel rod. Sometimes heat treatment is also required to further adjust the structure and properties of the steel rod.

Inspection and dressing

After cooling and heat treatment, the quality inspection of the steel bars is required to ensure that it meets the relevant standards. If necessary, it also needs to be trimmed, such as cutting, grinding, etc., to achieve the final size and appearance requirements.

Packaging and storage

Inspected and trimmed forged bar stock needs to be properly packaged to prevent damage during transportation and storage. At the same time, pay attention to the humidity and temperature of the storage environment to avoid rust or performance degradation of the steel rod.
Advantageous Features
high temperature figure
High strength and high toughness
Through forging processing, the internal structure of the steel is optimized, so that it has higher strength and toughness, and can withstand greater mechanical stress.
luminance figure
Good organizational properties
During the forging process, the non-metallic inclusions inside the metal are crushed and distributed along the direction of metal deformation, making the metal grain finer and the organization more dense.
equipment manufacturing figure
Good machinability
Because the plasticity, toughness and impact toughness of forged steel round bar are better than cast steel, it is more suitable for further mechanical processing and heat treatment.

Wide range of applications
Forged steel round bar is widely used in various machinery, automobiles, ships, aviation, weapons and other manufacturing industries, is an indispensable material in industrial manufacturing.
