Dual-phase stainless steel, as the name suggests, has a microstructure composed of two phases: austenite (face-centered cubic structure) and ferrite (body-centered cubic structure). This unique structure endows it with excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Compared with traditional austenitic stainless steel, this type of stainless steel has higher strength and better resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

Excellent mechanical properties

Corrosion resistance

It combines the advantages of ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel, especially the molybdenum containing duplex stainless steel has good resistance to chloride stress corrosion under low stress, but also has good resistance to pitting corrosion. This allows it to show good durability in industrial environments containing corrosive substances such as chloride and hydrogen sulfide.

Good processing performance

Although the high strength and high work hardening rate of super duplex steel may bring certain challenges to the processing process such as sawing and punching, good processing results can still be achieved through reasonable process adjustments, such as increasing the shear power or reducing the shear thickness.
